ORO SWIMMING HOUR COLD TANGERINA

Oro Swimming Hour is Oliver Wilde and Nicholas Stevenson - it's described as "children's music for adults", and is unequivocally analogue to it's very core. Using tape recorders, the Bristol-based duo captured their debut album Penrose Winoa in 2017, and their sophomore Lossy in 2019, in home offices and living rooms. Two singles have been released this year - 'Cold Tangerina' and 'The Dog', both complete with B-sides. A new video has just landed for 'Cold Tangerina', a very Yo La Tengo sounding track, complete with thoughtful guitars, blankets of blurry vocals and soft, pastel pink production. Directed by Lucas Wilde & Ryan Byrneis, the video is structured like an old silent film, jittery in motion, and subtitles that intersect the frame. Seemingly shot in the U.S, it follows a woman into a friend's house, and then documents the two swimming in the pool, assembled from abstract, mixed media animation.
